“Spinal x-rays are an extremely valuable diagnostic tool. Our office is equipped with a digital x-ray system that allows us to conveniently obtain diagnostic x-rays as needed which is an invaluable part of a new patient spinal evaluation.
X-rays show us areas of stress or patterns of stress that very often you don’t feel. We look at the entire spinal structure NOT just where you have pain or symptoms. Similarly when you go to the dentist they do not just take x-rays on one tooth that hurts, they look at the entire mouth! These subluxations affect the health of your spine by limiting or changing movement patterns, therefore causing breakdown known as spinal arthritis or AKA degenerative disc disease. The x-rays also allow us to identify any pathologies or unique anomalies in your spine such as scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, or old injuries such as compression fractures or disc injuries.
